... Gareth Milbourn Maths coursework: mobile phone tariffs. Part 1 The Walden family is considering having a Speakeasy Mobile phone but there are three different charging schemes to choose from; Scheme 1: £15 a month plus 5p per minute Scheme 2: £5 a month plus 20p per minute. Scheme 3: 35p per minute. Straight Line Graphs It is my task to ascertain which scheme would suit the Walden family best. As I haven't been told how much time the Waldens will spend on the phone I will investigate which time span would be the cheapest for them. I will assert which is the cheapest scheme by creating a table of values for each scheme and drawing up a Straight Line graph so that I can compare the different payment plans easily. The tables of value will be drawn up using basic equations on the basis that C = £ and T = time (minutes). The pence per minute charge
