World War 1 Poems "Disabled" by Wilfred Owen, "Dulce et Decorum Est" by Wilfred Owen and "Who's for the Game?" by Jessie Pope are all poems based on World War 1. All of the poems have their own unique approach and message involving World War 1. In my essay I am going to evaluate these three poems. I will look into the styles and approaches each of the poems have and also give my personal opinions about which of the poems I find most effective. "Disabled" by Wilfred Owen is a poem based on a young man losing all of his limbs in the First World War. I think this poem is very effective in portraying the strong message about being involved in the war. The poem has a very good, strong structure and uses apposite, effective imagery throughout.
