Coursework 2 The Blitz brought many changes in peoples lives. The effects were thought by some as major while others were less affected. All of the changes were originally from the non-stop bombing of the Germans. People had to cope with ways to defend themselves from the bombing. This could have been with an Anderson Shelter. These were large pieces of corrugated iron built in to your garden. Not everybody had a garden and the Anderson Shelters were more expensive than first thought, so the other option that was approved from the Government was the Morrison Shelters. These were tables in the home with pieces of mesh over them. Again, not everybody owned one. Instead (against the Governments advice) people had been sheltering in underground stations.
