Which equation is correct? In this assessed practical the task is to find which equation is correct? 2CuCO3(s) ? Cu2O(s)+2CO2(g)+1/2O2(g) CuCO3(s) ? CuO+CO2(g) I will be trying to prove which of the two equations are right by using a practical method, and calculating how much gas is produced. I will be using a method of collecting the gas that is produced in both the experiment. I will do the same experiment to prove which of the equations it true. I will heat the CuCO to produce gas, from this I would have already calculated the ratio of gas for both the equations and depending on how much is produced then this will provide me with the evidence I need to prove the equations. Also I can prove which equation is correct and support my calculation on detecting the colour of the oxide of copper is produced because if CuO is produced then it will be...
