Drama Part 1 I will look at war in my improvisation and to help me gain an understanding of literature and poetry based on the war I will be looking at two poems and one piece of script writing. Both poems were written and set during the First World War. The Soldier was written shortly before the war and therefore its purpose was to be a piece of propaganda to make the war seem like a good thing to do for your country. Dulce EST Decorum EST is actually written by someone who was in the war and therefore its purpose is to show the atrocities of war and a true insight into the war.
