English Coursework It was a bloody day. Guns, grenades, gas. I lay inside this small hole. Praying for a miracle. Please save me. My friends dead or have been taken prisoner. It was a war zone. In the morning, immediately there were gunshots. One man died instantly. He had a wife and two kids. It was a total disaster. All we could do was follow orders, orders that cost thousands of lives. We could have just stayed and fired on the flanks but we were desperate, we knew that not all of us were going to make it alive. We had five minutes to prepare.
