Discuss the different attitudes expressed in the poems & methods used by Brooke & Owen to influence our response to the war Wilfred Owen expressed himself through poetry. He especially used poetry to show his opinion about war and the consequences. Owen wrote many poems, one of his poems is "Disabled", and it shows Owen's feelings on the barbarity that is conflict and war. "Disabled" speaks of a man that survived the war and it describes an event that took place as a result of the fighting. "Disabled" is a poem about a man who has survived the war yet lost both legs and lost an arm up to the elbow. It shows the consequences of war. The poem helps him explain why war is such a tragedy.
