How effective do you think Spielberg was at capturing the effects of war? The opening credits is music pictures and font which tells us the film is going to be sad, depressing and makes you feel sorry for the people who lost there life at war. At the beginning of the film you see an American flag and it represents the nations embalm and makes the people of America proud to be American but the flag is see through as if the flag has worn away with time.
