English Assignment By Chris Robinson The book "A Fortunate Life" is a novel written by A. B. Facey. It is the story of his life and the experiences that he had as he was growing up and as a man. From his point of view he thought that he had a fortunate life despite all the hardships and the misfortunes. I personally think that he was unfortunate because of some of the things that he got himself into, but than again, he was very fortunate that he managed to get out of situations and survive. Bert (short for Albert) was born in Victoria in 1894. He had four brothers and two sisters. His father went over to Western Australia in search of gold because this was the time the big gold rush was on. He died over there from Typhoid Fever.
