Explore how Shakespeare deals with the theme of power in The Tempest In my essay I am going explain how Shakespeare shows the different types of power in The Tempest. I am going to write about each of the main types of power giving examples of how they are represented throughout the play. The main themes of power that I will be dealing with are legitimate power, magical power, power in personal relationships and colonialism; these are all prominent throughout The Tempest. In my essay I will explain how these are represented, and how they affect the characters in the play. The main form of power we see in The Tempest is magical power.
