The play 'Romeo and Juliet' was written by one of the most famous play writers William Shakespeare. 'Romeo and Juliet' is one of the most famous love stories in the English literary tradition. The play focuses on romantic love and tragedy specifically the intense passion that springs up at first between Romeo and Juliet, love is a violent, ecstatic, overpowering force that supersedes all other values, loyalties, and emotions. 'Romeo and Juliet was set in Verona in the late 16th century. In 'Romeo and Juliet' the prologue gives the audience a preview of what is to happen in the play whereas, both households are equal in status and dignity, although an ancient grudge made both households become enemies, where a new conflict arose.
