I was beginning to get exasperated. The actors I had selected for my production of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" were, how should I put it kindly?, dim and untalented. We were rehearsing one of the most important scenes of the play, the scene where Romeo and Juliet first meet. The scene where they fall in love, the whole play revolved around this scene, and this bunch of amateurs was ruining it.
