Over two hundred years have passed between the original Romeo and Juliet and the one created in 1996. In spite of this, time did not change the message of the story. The creators of the new versions just added their own little touch to each production. Shakespeare's making of the classic love story between Romeo and Juliet deepens through each retelling of the original play. Romeo and Juliet is a great story of love at first sight. It is a good example of a romance that ends in tragedy. There are many differences between then and now, and the contrast between the play and the movie portrays it all. Shakespeare lived during the Elizabethan times (1564-1616)....
