William Shakespeare introduces the baseline of the story through a prologue that tells us that the whole play relies on fate, two individuals, a male and a female from two families both alike in dignities, which have a feud with each other, will fall in love but their love is doomed. The play is set in Verona and will last 2 hours. William Shakespeare informs us of this because in his generation the audience used to throw tomatoes as soon as the play started to get boring so he decided to tell them what was going to happen creating a dramatic irony leaving the audience with unanswered questions like, How would the couple get through with the feud of the two families?
