Romeo and Juliet- how does love develop over the first two acts? In the first two acts, the interpretation of love by Romeo and Juliet changes. In act 1 scene 1, Romeo enters, appearing down-cast and distracted. Romeo explains to Benvolio that he is madly in love with a woman named Rosaline, but that she is not in love with him. Benvolio tells Romeo to forget about her and look at other girls, but Romeo doesn't believe that is possible. In this scene, Romeo's interpretation of love is that there is only one love (from the fact that he says that it is impossible to forget bout Rosaline) In the second act of the scene, Romeo meets the servant who is suppose to read the list, but he cant read, so he asks Romeo to read it aloud and he finds Rosaline's name. He asks where the feast is taking place in order...
