Juliet - main cause of death for death? Juliet - Daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet and Romeo's lover. She is a young intelligent girl, who is loyal and obeys her parents. She also is a girl who knows what she wants. She is a major influence on the events leading up to the deaths of her and her husband. When Juliet was told she was going to marry Paris, the nurse and lady Capulet urges Juliet to meet Paris the feast they are holding that night. Juliet says she will do so. "I'll look to like, if looking liking move. But no more deep will I endart mine eye. Than consent gives strength to make it fly" (act 1 scene 3) She was already engaged to marry Paris at the time of the ball, and until then, had been very happy with her parent's choice.
