Juliet Character Study Juliet is 13 going on 14 on the first of August. Juliet is a Capulet, and Capulets hate Montegues. Juliet lives with her parents, Lord and Lady Capulet and is cared for by her Nurse, all of whom are very protective of her. Capulet explains to Paris "My Child is yet a stranger in the world." Act 1 Sc2 l8. Juliet is of a high status, mainly because of her family name. Juliet's parents are extremely protective of her, they will not let her out of the house with out the nurse or one of the servants with her, this is because she is an only child " Earth hath swallowed all my hopes but she." Act1 Sc2 L14. It was common in the time the play was set for Juliet to be already married, Lady Capulet comments about this near the beginning of the play, she comments...
