In Act 3 Scene 5, how does Shakespeare create dramatic effect (including use of language and character interaction)? Romeo and Juliet is a tragic story about two "star-crossed" young lovers. It is a very intense play, which is full of twists and unexpected happenings. Romeo, a Montague, and Juliet, a Capulet are from two rival families but they pursue their love for each other, despite the fact that their families have been feuding with each other for decades. Act 3 Scene 5 has many crucial points. This scene is very important from the rest of the play as Romeo is being banished from his hometown (Verona), and Romeo and Juliet, the young couple who are madly in love may never see each other alive again.
