Explain What Qualities Of The Play Make It So Suitable For A Modern Day Interpretation There are many qualities of the play "Romeo and Juliet", which make it appropriate to be interpreted into contemporary text. For example, the humour can be understood despite the difference in era, and the conditions can be altered simply; so that less cultured persons can understand the context of Shakespeare's literature. Also, the community can relate to the despondency of the situation, and lastly, when performing on stage, there are so many different methods to recreate the easily reformable era. Initially, the first feature of the play that I think makes it appropriate for interpretation is that despite the fact that Shakespeare's humour is strongly based upon word play, and using words with many different meanings to create swift puns and jokes between the male characters, the body language and facial expressions show what is happening....
