When comparing the end of the play Amadeus by Peter Shaffer to the end of the film it's clear that there are a few differences in story and effectiveness. Some of which I will write about now. Apart from the obvious fact of a film being much easier to view due to the factor of the picture being displayed in front you, not having to be put together by your imagination. For example, the book in general seems to confuse the reader by including long and old-fashioned wording which seem to mask the main part of the story, such as on the final line on page 91 when its says 'And I alone in their midst heard- The Magic Flute.' this masking does seem to cover the main spine of the storyline, which is unfortunate due to the ease of understanding in the film.
