Air cabin crews are responsible for the comfort and safety of the passengers. From the moment they board the plane, they welcome them, usher them to their seats which have been allocated at check in, ensure that all hand luggage is safely stored and that seat belts are fastened properly. Before take-off they make safety announcements, point out the emergency exits, demonstrate the use of life jackets and oxygen masks and check that all the doors are properly closed and sealed. As soon as the plane takes off, the air cabin crews are constantly at work serving drinks, snacks and heating and serving meals. They must be prepared to give first aid and deal with emergencies. The entry requirements are different depending on the airline you are applying for. All airlines require you to be educated at GCSE standard.
