As he reached towards the fluff that hung out of his cushion, he could see something from the corner of his eye. Something or someone was moving towards him. His instincts told him that whatever it was, it was a threat to his ego and to his power over the household. He slowly moved his head around to concentrate what he could of his hibernating energy on this trespasser. He laid out on the sofa, making himself as long as possible, taking up as much space as he could, and showing his sharp nails as much as he was able to, as a warning to all intruders. Hence, he looked at the stranger, yawned, and fell into a shallow sleep. Danny looked up, saw that the unwanted company had left, and leapt off his rest-place.
