Statistical Analysis of the International Trade in Services Services represent the largest portion of the economy in most developed countries, and increasingly in developing countries as well. It is also the fastest growing sector of world trade, and trade and foreign direct investment in services have grown faster than in goods over the past decade. The following can show the importance of service sector: this sector can contribute up to 71 percent (for USA) to the production of a country (around 45% for developing countries).
