For your own country describe the main components of Government revenue

... For your own country describe the main components of 1) Government revenue 2) Government expenditures 1) The sources of government revenue are plenty. There are the taxes, national insurance Contribution, borrowing (government Stock and treasury bills, bonds etc), there are also trading surpluses and rent, interest and dividend receivable, privatization proceeds and so on. But the main, and most important component are the taxes. There are two types of taxes: Direct taxes which are taken directly from people's and organization's income, which is collected from the Inland Revenue. The most popular direct tax is the income tax. User Reviews of this Essay

What our users think of this essay:

"The answers to the first two questions are fine, HOWEVER, I would have liked to see you mention the NHS and Defence in your answer to question 2, regarding expenditures, seeing as they are big sinks for Government expenditure. The answer for your third question is less compelling. You make very good use of data throughout this essay, and you really trot out the statistics in the last section - which is good, except you don't really give any convincing answers. For example, why was there a 300% rise in revenue for the year 1999-2000 as shown on your graph? It's a pretty startling statistic, and it seems to just be unanswered. Some other explanations you give (perhaps due to inflation) seem more like you're grabbing at straws than giving a definite reason. Finally, this could really do with a careful re-read as there are numerous spelling errors or typo's scattered through the essay, and make sure your graphs are fully labelled - your bottom graph isn't, and as such, it's a bit confusing at first glance.
