HYPOTHESIS 1 Do socio economic factors influence crime? Does the number of unemployed influence levels of disorder in Stockton-On-Tees? I am going to find out if a relationship between unemployment and disorder in Stockton on tees, Cleveland. I think there will be a positive link between them as some unemployed people may cause trouble as they are bored and have nothing to do all day. They can also get drunk during the day as a result of them not having jobs. They then become disorderly. Method To get information on disorder i used Safer Stockton partnership booklet called Tackling Crime and Disorder. I read a copy of this in the Thornaby Community School library it gives information on all types of crimes in the 30 wards of Stockton. Crimes shown include forgery, drugs, burglary and disorder. This booklet splits Stockton up into 4 areas which are :- Billingham, Stockton, Thornaby, and Yarm and Villages. It...
