Part 1 Between June and September, our class prepared devised pieces for option 1. My role in the group I worked with was a sound designer. I worked with a group who chose the theme of 'Doors', so this is what I based my sound piece on. I not only contributed technically to the piece but I also, in my research, came up with text for the piece. I had to consider other aspects of technical design and how my work would relate to the piece and it's themes. To help me with my research, I looked for information in books (from the school library) and on the Internet. I found quotations which, as well as being used for text for the piece, help me to broaden my thoughts and ideas of doors.
