Comparative writing I am going to discuss my devised thematic work. I will also out line my piece and state how and why I created the piece of theatre I did. I am going to compare and contrast it with the film "Dance with a stranger". Dance with a stranger was made in 1985 and directed by Mark Newell. The reason I am going to compare and contrast my piece with the film "Dance with a stranger" because both my piece and the film dealt with the subject Ruth Ellis and the subject of injustice which was the groups starting stimulus. Our starting point Ruth Ellis, the last women to be hanged in 1955... My group and I researched the topic and did various drama improvisations in and around the topic including several freeze frames of the shooting of David Blatley. Our work began under the umbrella 'A Sense of Injustice'....
