To begin with, Fred and his conscience walk into the pub. He is looking at the ground with his head down to show that he is ashamed of what he has done. He slowly takes a seat and does not make much movement as he is so involved in his guilty thoughts. He shakes his head and has a frown upon his face as if he is trying to banish these thoughts and as he is so conscience- stricken. His fists are clenched and his knuckles have become pale as he is so angry within himself and wishes he could amend the situation. The person representing the conscience of Fred is standing behind him very closely as if he is hovering over him. This shows how his conscience is on top of him but he is trying to push it to the back of his mind and forget about it....
