Compare the way in which 'Double Indemnity' and 'Blade runner' use film noir conventions. Refer to Narrative and Stylistic conventions and the effect they have on an audience. The genre of a specific type of film is the category, which it fits into. Some of these genres can be action, drama, comedy, animation and the genre I am going to discuss; film noir. Film noir is the outline genre of both the films in this essay: 'Blade runner' and 'Double Indemnity.' They both contain particular conventions, which are associated with film noir and also create a different atmosphere compared to other genres. Film noir, as a wide genre keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, always contain scenes of bad luck or evilness, some pose the question 'Why me?' give the sense of error or confusion and if somebody is killed or dies, it is the result of mysterious...
