English Literature Compare the Possibilities of Presenting Hamlet on Stage or on Film There are many differences between showing a play in a theatre and on film. The theatre is more of a writer's medium and more emphasis is shown regarding the usage of language, in effect theatre acting is more dramatic. Film actors don't need to be quite as dramatic as the point the actor is trying to make can be seen so much easier due to the closeness of the camera to their acting. Facial expressions and body language can easily be identified and understood. Within films there is the possibility of producing the production with a cast and very often these will consist of famous actors which are able to heighten the likening of the film as people will warm to the story more due the character's actor.
