Gregory's Girl Bill Forsyth wrote Gregory's girl in 1981. This play is a romantic comedy and deals with unexpected happenings. For instance in the 1980s it was irregular for a girl to play football and a boy to cook. The idea that a girl could be good enough to get herself on the school football team was quite revolutionary in that period of time. This play deals with the young love of Gregory as he becomes more infatuated with Dorothy and how different genders can be stereotyped. I am going to be analysing the football scene and the cooking scene and show how these two scenes would be portrayed in a theatre. The audience will be seated in front of the stage in two/three sections this is because in these two scenes the characters will come of the stage and be running around or walking around the audience.
