As an actor how would you perform the role of Yerma in Act 3 scene 1 to create the tension and appropriate atmosphere in the scene? I feel I have been cast for this part as I am 22 years old and am female. My hair is long and brown and my skin is mocha so I look typically Spanish. My character is Spanish and the play is set in the mid 1900's in mainland Spain. As an actress playing the role of Yerma I would want to show the high amount of tension that is at the end of the scene. Previously in the scene, there is not much tension; Yerma is the most laid back she has been in the play.
