So therefore the analogue transmission is continuous. The waves fluctuate (rise or fall) a certain amount of times per unit of time this type of fluctuation over time is called frequency. Frequency is measured in hertz, this means the large amount of fluctuations the higher the frequency. The frequency will then translate into higher notes.
