Film Summary What is The Matrix? People are often confused about what this film is actually about, my interpretation of it is as follows. The Matrix is a mental stimulus that fooled humans into thinking that life was normal. This stimulus was needed because the computers draw power from humans because they are no longer able to use solar energy as these humans blocked the sun out. The power is drawn from the humans by housing them in large farms, their bodies are kept in a pink liquid, and they are kept alive by nutrients including dead humans that have been recycled. The problem was, humans were dying far too quickly this was because while living in these farms they had no feelings or orientation, and so The Matrix was created. Humans link up to The Matrix via probes that are inserted into the back of their heads, when humans are in The Matrix...
