Sahir Kara 11Hill Results: [The results table is shown on attached sheet 2] The one piece of data in bold and italics is the only recording of volume of gas produced that can be seen as anomalous (more than 5cm3 different from any other piece of data in that set of recordings). Therefore, this anomalous result, as it is a single value, would be attributable to either the human error of reading-off the scale on the measuring cylinder, the volume of hydrochloric acid used, or the concentration of acid used. In this instance, it is most likely, due to that fact that other recordings are all fairly similar in each set of data, that the volume or concentration of acid used that one time would have resulted in the anomalous result.
