During my experiment I am going to find out how much acid there is in a solution. To do this, I will have to conduct a titration (the definition is above). The main purpose of a titration is to find the concentration of one reagent

Planning What is a titration? It is a technique which is used in quantitive analysis in which a measured quantity of one reagent is added to another until the chemical reaction between them is complete. The volume of the first reagent is usually measured with a pipette, whilst the second reagent is poured into a burette, until the reaction reaches an endpoint, which is usually determined by a colour change. If the reaction does not naturally produce a colour change, an indicator is used. The type of a reaction when a titration is used is called a volumetric analysis. What is an Acid base indicator? An acid-base indicator is a weak acid or a weak base. The undissociated form of the indicator is a different colour than the iogenic form of the indicator. An Indicator does not change colour from pure acid to pure alkaline at specific hydrogen ion concentration, but rather, colour...
