Chemistry 23.02.06 Analysis I have completed my titration practical and have a set of results and an average titre, which are as follows: - Results Mass of weighing bottle + Sodium Carbonate 11.83g Mass of empty weighing bottle 9.12 g Therefore mass of Sodium Carbonate 11.83 - 9.12 = 2.71g The amount of the anhydrous Sodium Carbonate I used to make up a solution of is 2.71g. Titration results Rough 1 2 3 4 5 Final reading cm3 18.25 36.75 41.30 23.00 34.00 44.35 Initial reading cm3 0.10 18.25 23.05 4.65 15.60 25.90 Titre cm3 18.15 18.50 18.25 18.35 18.40 18.45 I took the 3rd,4th and 5th titre results as they were within 0.10cm3 of each other and worked out the average titre by the following method:- Average Titre to 1 d.p = Total Titre / Total Number of Titre X + X + X = average titre (1.d.p) 3 = 18.35 + 18.40 + 18.45 = 18.4cm3 3 So this means my average titre is 18.4cm3 . I will now calculate the concentration of sodium carbonate used.> The Mr of Sodium Carbonate = (2 x 23) +...
