Introduction: The Wall Street Crash started on 24 October 1929.Thirteen million shares were sold on that day and prices plummeted. They continued to fall for two years. Lots of shareholders were ruined. The value of shares became very low. Factor 1 - Overproduction Too many consumer goods were produced which led to overproduction. To make profit, businessmen have to sack their workers. But the workers then didn't have the money to buy these consumer goods (vacuum cleaners, washing machines, radios) in the shops because they were sacked.42% of Americans lives below poverty line.
