It provides another option to starting a business and buying a business. The franchisee usually pays a fee and/or a percentage of sales to the franchiser for receiving financial help, training, supplies, a protected market and technical assistance from the franchiser. Like a partnership there is a legal document that needs to be signed which is the franchise agreement, this is the cornerstone document of the franchisee, franchiser relationship.
