A] There is seven factors will affect the demand of the cigarettes. They are the price of a page of cigarettes, income of consumer, the price of the other goods (substitute goods), changes in population, changes in faction, changes in legislation and advertising. The price of cigarettes: When the price of cigarettes goes up, (e.g. government try to have more addition tax on it) then the smoker will decide to smoke less. The income of consumer: The raises on income will lead the consumer to buy more cigarettes than before. That means the more cigarettes have been sold, as the higher level of income will be. The price of the other goods: In this factor, Japan government have use a high technology to produce some product which will make the smokers feeling like they are smoking but will not damage their health and change them very low price.
