Dunstan as the Narrator In the book Fifth Business, written by Robertson Davies, Dunstan was obviously the narrator but the fact that it was from his point of view can put some limitations or reliability in the information presented. It seemed he tried to keep the situation as truthful as he could. This was quite obvious, as he is quite neutral throughout the novel and the fact that he was not a hero nor villain shows this statement to be true. So essentially because his role is Fifth Business, he is suited well to be the narrator as he was befriended with both protagonist and antagonist. Therefore, this allows Dunstan to take both perspectives from the characters and tell it as it is without much bias.
