A business needs good communication and co-ordination so that the right things happen at the right time. The different types of communication are: Internal/External Vertical/Lateral Formal/Informal Internal/External Internal communication is between people within the business and the information is either confidential or of no interest to people outside the business. Internal communication is usually face-to-face, memos, telephone or e-mail. External communication is between the business and people outside the business they can be used when a letter is sent to a customer about a new product, a sales broacher/invoice or a job advert in a paper.
