A Report on how to recruit, select and motivate a workforce Brief I'm a Human Resource manager for a large business. Some friends who are setting up their own manufacturing business to help them have asked me. They have never owned a business before but they have the money and the skills to set it up. However they have no experience of employing people or the laws governing it. They want me to advise them on how to recruit select and motivate their workforce. The Procedure To find what manufacturing and organizational employees want from work I will use a survey. I will also find motivation strategies off of the Internet. Suitable candidates should be short listed and interviewed. My Findings In my Survey I found that the vast Majority of manufacturing staff are semi skilled workers aged 20-35 (80%) who are mainly interested in money.
