CJG has been producing successful electronic products for the past 30 years, including PCs, Hi-Fis, Radios, DVD Players and Personal Stereo Systems. At a recent board meeting it was decided that the company should look at the possibility of producing a rival to the Apple iPod. The board members feel that the future of personal portable music probably lies in the direction. They need more marketing information to help them make their own decisions. Introduction to task 1: In this task I will explain how the principles of marketing research might be applied to the market development of CJG electronics PLCs new products. What is marketing research? Marketing involves finding out what consumers want, and then providing it for them. This involves the four key elements, and these are; the 4 Ps.
