Molecules & Cells Explored

Molecules and Cells: What Are These?

Molecules and cells would be studied during the first two units of AS Level Biology. All biological organisms are made from cells, which in turn are formed from molecules, which are the smallest unit of physical substances.

Why Study Molecules and Cells?

Atoms, molecules and cells are the building blocks of all biological structures, so the micro-level study of these is necessary for understanding biological organisms on a bigger scale.

What Will I Study?

You might write essays about things such as cell cycles, cellular structures, enzymes. Your coursework and assignments may also include conducting practical projects such as quantitative study of enzyme-catalysed reactions and the effects of inhibitors.

Further Study After Molecules and Cells

The essays and coursework you undertake on molecules and cells will lead on to more in-depth study of biological processes during A Level or Degree-level Biology. You'll encounter topics such as ecosystems, environmental responses and cellular control.

"I'm using it exactly a year when it was posted LOL(today 07-04-2009) any I looked it thoroughly and it had all diagram and covert planning, implementation, analyse and conclusion. so this must have received either A or B (I'm certain it must have been A)"
