ONE WORLD ESSAY BIOLOGICAL WASHING POWDERS Introduction: Enzymes have been around for quite a while now. They have a wide range of applications and they range from them being used in hospitals to remove blood stains and kill bacteria on the tools used, to our very own house where they are used in washing powders to clean our clothes. Although enzymes have proved to be a boon to the society and many fields of work, they have their disadvantages to them as well. In my opinion, the use of enzymes should be limited to being used in a select few hospitals and other important places, and they should be banned from being used in household washing powders, the reasons for which I will explain as I go along. Enzymes are proteins which allow chemical reactions to happen within the homeostasis constraints of the living system. So enzymes are in short organic catalysts....
