Testing The Effect Of Temperature On An Enzyme Reaction Aim The aim of this experiment is to test the effect that temperature has on an enzyme reaction. The aim is to find the optimal temperature (?c) at which the enzyme works best. Method To start this experiment 10 test tubes will be labelled 1 to 10, using a graduated pipette 5cm cubed of 1% starch solution will be added to each test tube. Using a cavity tile, 10 rows (10 for each temperature) of Iodine solution drops will be placed on the tile. Then each test tube will be heated at different temperatures,10?c 20?c, and every 10?c hotter until 100?c. Once the test tubes are heated to the correct temperature 1cm cubed of Diastase solution will be added to each of the test tubes.
