Nicholas Cuthbert Science Coursework 17/09/01 Investigating the breakdown of Hydro Peroxide (H2O2) with the enzyme catalase. AIM: In my experiment I am going to investigate the breakdown of hydro peroxide (H2O2) with the enzyme catalase, which is found in Liver. PLAN: I am going to put a piece of liver in to a 250 cm3 measuring cylinder and add 10cm3 of 20% hydro peroxide and measure how much gas is collected in the measuring cylinder. I will repeat that method for 40% 60% 80% and 100% and put the results in a table I will then chop up a piece liver and place it in a 250 cm3 measuring cylinder, I will then add 10 cm3 of 20% hydro peroxide and measure the gas given off. I will repeat that test for 40% 60% 80% and 100%. ABOUT H2O2: Hydro peroxide is an unstable chemical compound, H2O2 used...
