Yeast is used to make bread, because the carbon dioxide produced by yeast cells respiring helps to make the dough rise. TASK & AIM: I will find out which factors cause yeast cells to produce the most carbon dioxide. As a culture of yeast is merged with a solution of sugar, a reaction called Fermentation occurs. As products, ethanol and carbon dioxide are produced, in form of liquid and gas.
