Enzymes and how they work Aim:- The aim of this experiment is to see how long amylase takes to break down starch at different temperatures. What we must do to keep test fair:- The planning of this experiment is crucial. To make sure the test is kept fair we will need to:- Use the same volume of solutions each time Repeat each temperature at least 3 times We must wash the glass rod thoroughly after each time it's put into the mixture The only thing that should change each time is the temperature. Prediction:- I reckon that starch will be present at all times during the 20 minutes at 0°C as a lack of heat results to the molecules unable to move freely.
